The statement claims that all of its students should be required to study the same national curriculum until they enter college. While national curriculum is worth to study, I don't think the requirement is reasonable based on the various situations of different parts of the country and the adademic development of each student.

Firstly, from the perspective of various situations in different parts of county, especially as big as China, the single one national curriculum couldn't satisfy each province for the foundament is different. For example, the students in Shanghai have a better environment in learning English, whereas the students in Gansu Province might not have qualified English teachers let alone speaking with Native speakers. As a result, it is not suitable to use the same text book to teach English. The same circumstance may exist so that it is not better to require the students to learn national curriculum.

Secondly, from the perspective of the development of students, the national curriculum might limit the multiple requirement of different students. When it comes to the design of text books, one of the most standars is to make most of the students learn what they need to learn. But for most students, they might have other interests such as music, physics and art. So the national text book could not meet their deep requirement.

Despite the national curriculum could satisfy all the students in all the respect, it plays a significant role in making a better foundation in students' learning process. Besides, it is a standar of all the other text books, which could have multiple knowledge while they should obey the basic requirement. In addition, the national curriculum could be used as a norm of evaluation for students' learning performence, which is also a way to evaluate the effectiveness of teachers.
