The chart below shows the amount of money per week spent on fast foods in Britain. The graph shows trends in consumption of fast foods. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar graph illustrates money spent by three-income group on fast food namely, hamburger, pizza and fish and chips. However, the line graph shows the changes of demand of fast food over the 20 years period. It is immediately apparent that hamburger is most popular fast food among high and average income group.

We can see clearly that high income and average income group spent 43 and 32 dollar per week on hamburger respectively. Pizza was second most popular fast food for high-income group. However, the fish and chip was second most desirable fast food for average income group. On the other hand, low -income group spent approximately 16 dollars on fish and chips and almost 14 dollars on hamburger. Pizza was the less desirable fast food for low- income group.

Line graph demonstrated the people choice changed over the 20 years period. We can see that most popular food was pizza on 1970.Demand of pizza gradually decreased between 1970 and 1990 from 300 gram to 200 gram. Demand of fish and chip dramatically inclined from 99 gram to 500 gram between 1970 and 1990. However, the demand for hamburger gradually increased over the 20-year period.

In conclusion, most favorite food among high and average income group was hamburger, and fish and chips was most desirable food was 1990.
