With times past, there are so many changes in people's life nowadays compair to old times. Elderly people still think the way they spend their life was simpler and better than today.
In my opinion, I think elderly people's life style was simpler and better than today. Firstly, there is no doubt there was less population in the past. Most people living in one community know each other very well. Not much commercial at the time makes people had a better idea which commercial is honest or not. Nowadays, higher population resulted neighbors don't know each other at all. More and more commercials with different quality levels being builded. It's hard to tell their business ethics.
Secondly, the only communication method in the past is in person which is the best way to build relationship. People are more enthusiastic and happily when they aee their friends and family after a week without talk to them. As the information technology spread out, everybody have a cellphone with them, People cutted their time time spend with family and friend by simply calling them when it needed. The sad fact is cellphone even influence our communication skills in person. For example, you could always find the person sitting around the table while keep texting on their phone or even updating their twitter without communicate with others during family gather.
Last, traffic in the past time was not as complex as today. You seldom see yourself stuck in crowed traffic. Not frequently hear the news like teenager hitted by the truck on her way to school. People had a better pace to enjoy life. With the transportation development, every family has a car which causes the crowed traffic and polution.
In conclution, eilderly people's life style was simpler and better than today. Sometimes, maybe we should pause our steps forwards and look around the scency on the way.
