The graph illustrate numbers of complaints made to Environmental Health authorities in relation noise that occur in Newtown from year 1980 t0 1996.
In Newtown, it shows that the gretaest complain to noise in 1996 came from domestic/household which is 1200 complaint and that the lowest from road works.
From 1980 to 1996, traffic and domestic shows a similar trend which the number remain steady for the first four years and increase sharply which then stays constant for a period of two years between 1986-1988. The number next gradually increases throughout the year and reaches its peak which is 1200 complaint for domestic noise and 600 complain for traffic road.
On the other hand, road works started with the greatest complain with 600 and gradually decrease throughout the year although they stay constant in between for a time of two years which is 1988-1990. Other than that, factories steadily increases from 400 complain before it remain steady throughout the year starting from 1986.
In conclusion, this graph shows different complain were anticipated better than others. It shows that noise caused by non-living thing such as road works are easier to be reduce rather than noise which involve emotion which may originate from domestic/household.
