Land degradation
The pie chart below illustrates the main factors which affect on land degradation globally. Animal feeding has the greatest portion of land unenrichment with 35%. The percentage of the second important item to make soil less productive is 30% for cutting trees and deforestation. Land productivity is also affected by over- cultivation (28%). Other factors cause soil erosion by about 7 percent.
The table's given shows the total percentage of land degraded in 3 distinct regions in the world which caused by deforestation, over-cultivation and over-grazing in 1990s. It can be seen that in North America, land degradation was influenced mostly by over loaded cultivation(3.3%). However forest elimination had the least percenge of effectiveness in this problem with 0.2 percent. Also, it's remarkable that in Eroupe, soil erosion was affected by deforestation mostly (9.8%) and repeatitive farming had the least percentage (5.5%). Obviously Oceania was not under dominant by over cultivation althogh animals had the most impressive role by 11.3%.
Overall, total decrease in land productivity in North America, Europe and Oceania were respectively 5, 23 and 13 percent that shows Europe was affected the most.
