Older people think the world was a better place when they were young. Do you agree or disagree? Give your opinion.

Today, most of senior citizens have opinion that world was convenient place to live during their young age. It is no where more evident than in countries like India and china. It is agreed that people lead a contended life a couple of decades ago. This will be proven by analyzing how the society was safer and healthier as well as better living standards in comparison with the present days.

To begin with, society was a safer and healthier place to live. The number of crime rates was less as people were innocent and laborious and never found time for such activities.Besides, the basic amenities such as water ,food and air were unadulterated. For example, five decades ago the number according to police records in India were fewer than ten. Present day the crime rate has inflated to the extent where common man is apprehensive about walking on the roads.Therefore, it is clear that our forefathers lived in a better environment than us.

Secondly, better living standard is the key to lead a happy and contended life.Take for example , my father once told me that when he was a child a bag of rice used to cost only five rupees where as today the same bag of rice is costing 1000 rupees. It is obvious that people lead a less stress full life earlier.

Following the analyzation of how the society was safer and healthier as well as better living standards, it is very evident that people in the prior generation had a better living than us.
