Some people focus too much on products and brands that they buy/use. Do you think this behavior has more advantages than disadvantages?

In today’s modern world, the importance of brand is an increasingly playing important role in our societies. But whether it is blessing or curse is sparked heated debate. Some people think buying branded products has dramatically benefits on our lives.
However, other thinks it is intend negative influence around the globe. All argument will be weighed prior to reaching an informed conclusion.

On one side of the arguments, there are people who argue that the benefits of branded products considerably outweigh its disadvantages. The main reason for believing this is that branded product has warranty. For instances, branded watches such as fossils, guess, root and many more they always come with 2 years manufacture warranty. If we take another example, as branded household utensils, (washing machine, or dishwashers) are very energy saving because of these we can save extra money in hydro.
When looking at these examples, there is no doubt that, there are some benefits to buy or use branded products.

On the other hand, it is also possible to make the opposing case. It is often argued that in fact have detrimental side effects. Today in world everything is commercialized, advertisement can manipulate the peoples thinking to buy branded stuff. For example, when buyer see one famous actor or actress wearing Nike or adidas they tend to buy those stuff which are very costly, or children who are watching coca cola commercial on television manipulate children and encourage them to pester their parents. However, coca cola is not necessarily a healthy drink for children. These examples clearly show that branded products not always have benefits they have some disadvantages too.

In my opinion, both arguments have their merits. I would concede that this behavior does come with some adverse effects despite the fact benefits it far outweigh the advantages.
