Essay topics:

Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same things. Others, however think that change is always a good thing. Discuss both views and give your opinion

One of the most controversial issues today relates to whether people should choose to live routine lives, or rather embrace and adapt to change. In this essay, I am going to examine this question from both points of view and present my opinion.

On one side of the argument there are people who argue that it is preferable to live a fairly routine lifestyle. The main reason for believing this is that they may feel that any minor changes in their lives would be very strenuous to handle. As a result, this will have a negative effect on the individuals' work and personal life. One good illustration of this is when my company introduced evening shifts, the employees found this expeditious change to be arduous.

One the other hand, it is also possible to make the opposing case. It is often argued that in fact, introducing change can have exemplary effects on an individual. To be more precise, a person constantly facing new challenges and obstacles in life, will develop better mentally and physically. A particularly good example here is in the film "Company Men", based on a true story. The story revolves around a family that was affected during the recession and how they managed to overcome all the obstacles and start over.

As we have seen, there are no easy answers to this question. On balance, however, I tend to believe that it is important to be able to adapt to new environments, venture into the wild, undertake challenging obstacles and discover new opportunities.
