The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010

The table chart compares the proportion of men and women who are engaged in regular physical excercises in Australia in 2010.

At first glance it is evident that, with the exception of the age groups 15 to 24 years, the majority of women was engaged in physical activity compared to men.

According to the graph, about 52.8% of male between 15 to 24 years did more excercises in 2010 than female, and this figures declined gradually to around 42.2% and to approximately 39.5% for the ages groups 25 to 34 and 35 to 44 respectively. After that, the figure increased marginally as men get older.

On the other hand, the most active female belonged to the group aged between 45 and 54 at around 53.3% of the female population, whereas young women were less active compared to men aged 15 to 24. The number of men and women was fairly similar for both sexes over 65 years.
