The pie charts below illustrate the domestic energy consumption in Australia with six different ways and the greenhouse gas that is emitted through these ways.

According to the first chart, it is transparent that heating and water heating account for approximately one third of the Australian domestic energy usage by 42 and 30 percent respectively. In contrast, refrigeration, lighting and cooling use slight proportions of energy consumption by 7, 4 and only 2 percent, while other appliances form 15 percent of energy consumed.

When it comes to second pie chart, it is obviously demonstrated heating is just responsible for 15 percent of household greenhouse gas emissions that is approximately one third of its usage of energy. Meanwhile, water heating almost maintains a balance between energy consumption and greenhouse gas that is emitted by 32 percent. On the other hand, the gas produced by refrigeration is doubled in comparison with its energy usage. Beside, cooling and lighting are very less significant causes of the greenhouse gas emission, although other appliances by using 15 percent of energy emit almost double proportion of the greenhouse gas (28%).

In conclusion, it is manifestly noticeable that the heating produces very low rate of greenhouse gas compared with its energy consumption, so it is more environment-friendly than other sorts of using energy.
