The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004

The line graph illustrates the amount of fish and three different kinds of meat consumed in a European nation from 1979 to 2004.
Overall, the consumption of fish and meat declined and fish had the lowest amount of consumption among four types of foods.
In 1979, the amount of beef eaten per week was highest, at about 220 grams per person. These figures for chicken and lamb were lower, at around 150 grams per person per week. Each European citizen only consumed nearly 60 grams fish per week which was the lowest figure.
After 15 years, the consumption of fish remained stable, at around 50 gram per capita per week and this figure was still the lowest. Whereas, beef and lamb saw a dramatic decrease in the amount of consumption and these figures ended at about 120 and 70 grams per person per week respectively. In contrast, there was a sharp increase in the amount of eaten chicken which reach a peak of around 250 grams per capita per week in 2004.
