The proportion of male people in the UK, who purchased pop, rock and classical albums (around %22, %27 and %9, respectively), was more than females’ (about %12, %18 and %7, respectively). In terms of buying pop and rock albums, the percentage of younger people (under 45) was higher on this as opposed to the 45+ age group, who spent more money on the classical albums (around %20).
On the other hand, the 25-to-34 age group had the highest percentage of people who spent money on music albums, followed by those of the 16-to-24 age group (an average of about 40% and 33%, respectively). On the contrary, the least amount of music purchasing percentage in the UK, was by the elderly people (an average of approximately 15%).
