The table above shows the information of working residents in twelve areas of U.K. who are cycling to work from the year 2001 and 2011.
Overall, a major number of working forces prefer to reside in Inner London wherein they can pedal their bikes going to work as a means of transportation.
It is noticeable that out of the twelve cities in U.K., the area of Inner London has the most number of cyclist going to work. In fact in the year 2001, 43,494 of the residents use their bicycle going to work. Another area with most number of cyclist going to work is Outer London with a working population of 33,836. Other cities with working residents pedaling to work are Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, New Castle, Sheffield, Cardiff, Exeter, Leeds, Liverpool and the least number is Gateshead with over 816 working residents.
Throughout a decade Inner London is still consistent with the most number of working forces traveling by bikes with a major change of 144%, however Outer London in 2011 had a 45% change leading to be the least area who has favorable workers who commute using their bikes. On a positive account, Gateshead had accumulated a dramatic increase of workers pedaling to work having 61 % percentile of average change.
