The pie charts above illustrates a sharp comparison of women’s highest education level in Someland in 1945 and 1995.
Obviously, in 1945, the education level of women was generally low. 35% women had not received any education, providing one of the largest proportions. Another major part, also presenting 35%, was taken up by women in third grade. No women had received a post graduate degree then.
However, 50 years later, in 1995, there was an apparent change. Half of the female population had received a first degree and 20% had gone to pursue a postgraduate degree, while no women received less than 6 years’ education. This is in stark contrast with 1945 where no women had pursued a post graduate program and only 15% percent of women had finished their primary school.
In conclusion, we can see clearly and from the year of 1945 to 1995, there had been huge positive developments in women’s education in Someland.
