There has been a dramatic growth in the number of people studying at universities in the last few decades. While some people see this as a positive trend which raises the general level of education within the community, others fear that it is lowering the quality of education.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.

Nowadays, people prefer studying in universities so the number of students has been increasing in last few decades which tend to bring positive and negative impacts as well because it might affect the quality of education. There are both positive and negatives aspects because people will be more skilled which is better for the people and society but in other hands, it might be difficult for the University to provide quality education to all the students due to a shortage of skilled human resources.

Students will get more opportunities to share their ideas with each other in the university. More practical assessment within the group will help the students to gain and share their knowledge of understanding. For example, group presentation in the university will help to develop their public speaking which is the essential part in any future job activity.

Whenever the number of students is more the university might not have enough resources to fulfil all the need just in time due to a shortage of skilled human resources. Some universities have limited number of seats available for the students which help them to provide quality education but for those who have a large number of students they might face difficulties. For instance, recently one of the colleges in Sydney is closed due to its internal problems and now the students are facing difficulties which are due to poor its management.

When all the people are educated and skilled the country will be rich of skilled manpower which is always a plus point for the nation. It will help in the economic development of the country so the university should have strong management committee to look after the quality of education. University should hire skilled people who can maintain the quality of education through the training and development process.

To sum up, it might be a huge challenge to provide quality education when there is a sudden increase in the number of students but if the administration is strong the university will easily manage the number of students without any doubt.
