Dear sir,
Greetings of the day. I am inspired to write this letter in order to represent my point of view in the decision of management to close the cafeteria of the organization. I trust that management must have taken this decision on the ground of facts which must be in the favour of the organization. However, there is another part of the issue which ask your thought before initiating the process.
Hope you have noticed that there are 30 to 35% of the employee who are non-residential of this city and living alone in PG. In absence of family, the cafeteria is the good source of an authentic and hygienic meal for them. I understand that apart from those 35% employees, the cafeteria is rarely used by rest of the employees which causes a huge waste of food and loss of money behind maintenance to the organization.It is not that employees don't find the use of this cafeteria . However, The restricted menu and its cost are the explicit reasons behind the nonuse of cafeteria by other employees. The cost leads the employees to eat out for their refreshments which also gulp huge amount of employee time .
In my opinion , we can address these problems with the different solution rather choosing to close the cafeteria. In my view, if the cafeteria will be offered to some contractor to run it, can help both employees and management to serve their purpose. I hope management will think on my suggestion to develop a win-win situation for both the parties.
