You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.

Dear Harry

I am glad to hear from you and hope you and everybody at home are doing well. Congratulations for completing your graduation with flying colours. I understand you are in dilemma, whether to continue with further studies or go for a job. I will be happy to suggest you the best option as per my opinion.

As you have successfully completed your Bachelours in Technology with terrific grades, this made you proficient enough for a decent job in Information Technology stream. Moreover, your parents have borrowed funds from friends and relatives for your graduation and if you go for higher studied they need to take more loan and I am sure with this kind of piled up debt you will not enjoy going to college.

However, if you go for a job you will be able to support your family and yourself. On the more, you will be able to repay all the debt gradually. Further, there are numerous merits of starting a job at an early age, like, more increments and chances of promotion. Furthermore, there are plenty of job opening in tech companies and this sector is growing dramatically. You can go for a job interview for posts of a software engineer, software tester and developer and so on.

I hope you will ponder about my advice and look forward to hearing from you.

Truly yours

Param Sabharwal
