Imagine that you are in a classroom or a meeting. The teacher or the meeting leader says something incorrect In your opinion, which of the following is the best thing to do?•Interrupt and correct the mistake right away.•Wait until the class or meeting

In these ever changing days, we might attend different classes and meetings in order to increase knowledge in the required fields. Sometimes we encounter some incorrect information from the lecturer. Some people would argue that it is better to stop his presentation and make him correct, while others might prefer to tell his mistakes after the meeting. In my opinion, it is better to keep that in your mind and if he couldn't correct it by himself, then tell the truth in person.

To begin with, sometimes because of stresses or complexity of the subjects, some mistakes might happen intensively. In most cases these kinds of errors doesn't change the whole story and is being solved later in the presentation. For example, last week I attended to a seminar about marketing, which was in my university. The lecturer was a famous manager from a well-known company in Iran. In one part of his lecture that was about the influence of gender on buying habits, instead of saying men he said women; and we all misunderstood the point for about five minutes. I didn't interrupt him, despite it was not logical to me; as I could deduce from the rest of the talk. In addition to his previous explanations he talked about clothing preferences, especially skirts! This was the time that we all could back to the point, and to be honest, it was not a big deal.

On the other hand, sometimes the mistakes are obvious and noticeable, that you can't keep yourself calm without reacting. The first thing you should do is a deep breath! Then think about the situation, the importance of the topic, and the reputation of the speaker. In most cases you would agree with me that it is better not to speak out loud, as it might hurt his status. For instance, I had such a situation in my college once. The professor committed a huge mistake that my classmates didn't recognized. I realized that if I talk it out loud it might cause the fact that for his further classes no one would accept him. So after the class I mentioned his mistake and he appreciated my response to this problem.
