The writer and the lecturer discuss the same issue that is hydropower has not only advantages , but also disadvangates . The writer states that hydropower is absolutely benefical for some reasons. Especially one of the reason of that electricity is generated by using hydropower . The speaker doesn’t agree with the author’s view. The speaker claims that unfortunely, this power has also several disadvantages.
In the reading passage, hydropower contributes to the electricity generation and the water stock is created by a dam . The writer claims that hydropower is very convenient source hence it reflects promptly to the alters in quantity of water. The gaining hydroelectric is raised in hot summer afternoons because of providing from air conditioners , then the night time it is fallen for saving energy.Moreover, water reservoir aids to the storing water for people. These advantages come about the economic growth and enhancing the quality of life . Furthermore, hydropower is clean ,environmental friendly and efficient source. Hydropower doesn’t emit the harmful gases as like greenhouse gases when acquiring electricity. The water in dam are used by an efficient way with hydropower to supply electricity.
On the other hand, the lecturer has different ideas from the writer. He believes that hydropower is unconvenient power and leads to flooding then the househald move away from their life areas . Furthermore, the speaker indicates that hydropower causes to deteoriate the environment by releasing poison and hazardous substances. Cleaning to the environment from these toxics is too hard , long to short the ecosystem is worsed with these cases.
To sum up , the writer considers the hydropower has a big advantages such as producing electiricity and storing water by dam . He exemplifies his thesis by mentioning efficiency and water reservoir. On the contrary, the lecturer does not support the writer sights , the lecturer worries about the disadvangates of the hydropower like harm the environment by toxics.
