Summarise the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on specific points made in the reading passage.

The reading and listening passages have a conflict of opinions about theories of the source of the odd sound that is called Quackers was heard by sailors in Russian submarines. In the reading, the writer explains three theories about its source. While the lecturer claims that the passage state is not convincing.
First of all, the lecture makes it clear that Orca whales cannot produce this sound because they live on the surface of the ocean and this sound has heard the lower layer of the ocean. On the other hand, the writer argues that this animal makes this sound to attract a male and it is similar to those sounds which the submarine was detected.
Second, the professor points out that the giant squid is a better option to produce this sound. However, she believes that this sound was heard in 1960 and then it did not hear until 1980. At this time, the giant squids were living in the ocean so that it cannot a major source of the sound. By contrast, the speaker explains that this animal has soft bodies and intelligent and it can be the source of the sound because they have the ability to emit sound.
As a final point, the professor disagrees with the last theory, too. He suggests that the foreign submarine can produce this sound. Because they do not the technology of producing this sound. Also, this sound was very quickly. In contrast, the writer emphasizes that the third theory is very convincing and this technology is common between other countries.
