The reading and the lecture are both about the use of hydrogen fuel-cell as the source of energy for car, which pose a deabate about the pros and cons of such promising replacement. The author of the reading is being obtimistic about the prospect of hydrogen fuel-cell, while the lecturer casts doubts on all the claims that the author made in the article. She on the other hand, thinks that hydrogenn fuel-cell contain internal problem needed to be solve before it become widely accepted.

First of all, the author says that hydrogen fuel-cell is the replacement for conventional resource used as the source of energy for cars. He argues that others resources like gasoline and diesel are finite resources and could be depleted any time soon. The lecturer cast doubt on this notion. Eventhough she agree that conventional sources of energy are finite, but the progress of producing hydrogen is also require the use of energy from those resources. Furthermore, she mentions the difficulty in store hydrogen in its liquid form also require lots of energy.

Secondly, the author favor hydrogen fuel-cell for its eco-friendly propertie and believes it could help to reduce pollution. The professor is not in line with his opinion. She puts forth the ideas that the process of making hydrogen is also generate pollution. She points her attention to the hydrogen factory and agrues about its role in generate pollution.

Finally, the author mentions the low cost of using hydrogen due to its high efficency to create engergy. The professor is not agree with the author. She believes that due to the requirement of platinum, which is a very expensive material, in the engine the cost of operate hydrogen fuel-cell based vehicle is still very expensive.
