According to the information presented in the reading passage, it can be clearly understood that the private collectors have been caused a lot of problems for fossils. However, considering the points stated in the listening passage, the lecturer is of the opinion that the negative effects of private collectors exaggerated and their profits are more than their downside.

As for the facts mentioned in the reading passage, the author is persuaded that the first and the most problem is obstaceling public view and some scarce type of fossil are conceal from society view. On the other hand, the professor believes that the accessing to these private collectors is more possible than public collectors. In addition, universities or colleges can easily show the private collectors' fossils in their institutes.

The reading passage indicates that the fossils that belongs to private collectors are not accessible for scientist to examine it and some part of important evidence are lost. While, professor made another points in the opposite side, and she said before selling the fossils some scientific must be study it and define the cost. Consequently, no one could be hide from the scientists’ sight. Additionally, in most of the time they need a strong scientific report for selling so this idea is completely wrong.

The reading implies that private collectors due to lack of enough information for carrying out, destroy the valuable evidence. In contrast, the professor claims that in most time they take care them carefully. Besides that, if the private collectors don't buy this fossils a huge number of fossils are being undiscovered. For this reason, the private collectors helps the scientists for finding more fossils.
