The article states that in 20th century most archaeologist had faced serious problem in Britain and provides three reasons of support. The professor, however, said that during that period change setting of new rules and guidelines improve the situation of archaeologist and refutes each of the author's reasons.

First, the reading states that many valuable artifacts were lost during construction. The professor confutes this point by saying that before the construction, assessment were done by archaeologist for any historical artifacts. Moreover, she states that when any evidence is found, the committee was formed from local government and archaeologist for further planning of discovered artifacts.

Second, the article posits that archaeologist lacks funding for their research. On the other hand, the professor claims that new guidelines states that construction organization should provide funding for archaeologist to evaluate if they were planning to build a building in a given site. According to professor, due to this new rule, the archaeologist were provided with enough research funding; thus,it aided in research for many location.

Third, the reading maintains that career in archaeology was a onerous task. The professor counter this point by explaining that new rule and guidelines provided numerous career opportunity in archaeology. We have came to know that the numerous archaeologist was demanded to evaluate artifact value, for processing and preservation of historical artifacts. And also this led to increase in number of archaeologist than any other time in the past.
