The reading stats some hypothesis in terms of declining of Yellow tree However the professor claims that this reasons is not adequate and supports his idea be providing some explanation.

First, the author explains that insect parasite specially bark beetle may be responsible for this phenomena. In contrast, the lecture refutes this hypothesis. He says that the cedar trees are much resistant to insect more that other trees. In some areas there are some poison insects that the cedar trees are not decline. decreasing in cedar trees by insect have occurred in seek trees.

secondly, the passage explicates that brown bears can be attributes in declining phenomena. Sometimes, they craw the tree for eating tree bark. However, the professor the bear can be responsible in diminishing of cedar trees because of in an island which has any bear, some cedar trees have declined and population of trees have no any relation with bears.

Finally, the author explains that gradually changing climate may be to blame. According to research the climate have altered in the last 10 years. Conversely, the lecture claims that changing in weather have not prominent impact on tree population. He gives an example to illustrates that in some different elevation plant there are many cedar trees. The climate can not be responsible in declining.
