The reading get three solutions for this problem; however, the professor states that all of the solusions can not solve the problem.
At first, the author discusses about one-way glass. One-way glass make only one diriction. So birds can see that it is not a open air. The speaker, on the other hand, says that the one-way galssess work like a mirror. If the bird see any tree or cloud inside the mirror, they can not understand it is real or not.
secondly, they talk about colorful designs. The reading argues that using colorful window galss can prevent birds to smash the galss. In contrast, the professor states that birds see some holes inside of colorful window because of the colors. So they can not distinguish between galss and hole and open air. Also he mentions that the colorful designs make the houses too dark.
Finally, the author suggests that magnetic filed can guide birds awy from building. Nevertheless, the speaker says that birds use their ability for navigating only for long distance like going from cold place to warm. They do not use it in the city. So this solution is not efficiency too.
