Both the reading and lecture are about a fossil of Tyrannosaurus that possibly its actual tissues have remained. The reading provides three reasons to advocate this discovery; however, the lecturer cast doubts on the claims made in the article and finds all arguments dubious.

First of all, the author of reading declares that fossil of leg back of T.rex revealed several branching channels inside bone that they could have been hollows inside bone where blood vessels were set. Moreover a soft, flexible substance is another strong evidence for the remains of actual blood vessels. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He points out that this soft substance may be from another source. The professor elaborates on this by mentioning that the bacterial could have colonized in these hollows and then they fed on small organisms, so this substance is a trace from their waste.

Secondly, the article contends that researchers could find the spheres that may have related to red blood cells. Since the red blood cells' task is that they have to transport oxygen to tissues; consequently they have been a pivotal part of animal. Furthermore, the spheres included dark red center with iron. This argument is rebutted by the professor again. The lecturer expresses that scholars would find this reddish color in a huge number of animals from that same place with T.rex's fossil; hence the main source of this reddish color may have been from another point.

Finally, the reading passage proposes that collagen which is a fibrous protein as a vital component of living bone tissues, found in T.rex's leg bone; conversely, the professor believes that the oldest organism with the remains of collagen associated with 100.000 years ago while the date of T.rex returns to 70-million years ago. The best explanation for this suggestion is that this collagen may have been transported to T.rex's bone by researchers' hands.
