To improve your reading, first of all, you need to memorize more words. don't try to "guess" in TOEFL test, because you are not sure 100% correct. you can check out the the TOEFL reading words in our site and you need to be very familiar with the words.
secnond, you need to figure out the "structure " of a sentence, for example, where is subject, verb, or clause. then you can understand the sentence good.
if you have a good words and can easily check out the sentence, then you need to have a good reading habit.
one thing is very important is that after you read the question, you need to go back the passage and "locate the answer in a specific sentence exactly,don't try to infer something new or by your "memory" of the passage." . when you think one answer is correct, you need to double check why other answers are not correct. don't make a fast choice.
