It is better to marry someone who is simmilar to you , rather than someone who is different from you. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

It is very well known that the mariage can be considered a life lottery. The doctors, psychologists, or society cannot predict what will happened with a particular couple over the years. Often the couples with no chance of surviving a life togheter beat the odds and demonstrated that appearnces can be misleading.

Personnally , I think is better for people to mary someone who is similar to them. First of all, someone simmilar will share the same interest in the same area. Maybe at the beginning of the relationship this might not be significant but after few years of leaving togheter, when the beauty of discovering the new person next to you, having somebody with whom you can share the time in pleasant wa can make the difference. For example, my best friend is passionate about music and arts. Few years ago she met a very handsom young man who was a professional futbal player. At the beginning their relationship went well, because each of them was willing to discover the other’s world and they were able to put away their own interests and hobbies. After few years, when the routine has installed in their life, they were not been able to pretend that they spend good time toghether. At the end they broked up.

In addition to that, being similar with your partner will from the start issues that could affect the wel being of marriage. Event though, nowdays the society is more tolerant and accept the differences between two people who forms a couple easly, these differences can affect negativelly a relationship on long run. A quick example which comes in my mind is religious differences. As a young adult, ready to start the new life, your partner’s different religious believes might not have a significant value. Still, the questions and issues will occur later in life regarding to children’s religious education for example. This “discution” can lead to a ireconciable argument. If the couple would have the same religious orientation this problem will be eliminated by default.

Finally, I think is important for a couple to go in the same direction from emotional and educational point of view in order for the marriage to resist over the years. In this regard, having the same background and interests, and being similar offers the marriage a field to develop in the same direction. I have read study, in a Psichology Magazine about the duration of the marriage and what are the factors that can influence the stability of a cfamilly . The study revealed that partners who have shared the simmilar passions att the beginning of their relationship were able to find toghether, in time, new hobbies which consolidated their partnership in life.

By way of conclusion, based on arguments explored above it is actual more beneficial if the people marry someone similar rather than someone who is different from them.
