Different types of governments rule their countries differently. Comunist governments do not consider the will of its people while making decisions. On the other hand, in democratic countries, sometimes will of the majority of people can be adverse for the progress of the nation. Shell the government officials rely on their own judgement, or unquestioningly carry out the will of majority? A balance between these two extreemes is the only way to lead the country successfully.

Firstly, considering democratic communities, here the decisions of a governmet are in the most cases equivalent to the will of the majority of people. It were the people, who choose the ruling party, and the party should refflect peoples views. Considering, however, the level of logical thinking ability among the nation, the great majority of people would fall somewhere in the middle of the range of intelligence quotient. Decisions considered preferable by the majority, may not necessarily be beneficial for the nation.

Secondly, oftentimes people are not informed about all implications of a given decision. In my country, everyone was very excited to join the European Union. Wealth of the countries in the Western Europe enticed many to vote for joining them. Not many, however, were aware of all the consequences that follow the accession. Although most of people were enthusiastic about it, only government officials were aware of pros and cons of joining.

To recapitulate, comprehensive information about a given proposal is indispensible to make a proper decision, no matter if it is the government or the people that take the responsibility for proposed change. In some cases it is impossible for the people to study all consequences of a given government's decision. It this case, a governent officials that represent the nation, should consider all advantages and disadvantages, and decide for the best interest of the nation.
