The line graph illustrates the trend in the consumption of livestocks in Europe from the year 1979 to 2004. The Non vegetarian consumption has been categorized in to the Beef, Lamb, chicken and Fish.
Overall, a considerable amount of increase in chicken consumption has been achieved by 2004 in contrast to the other options showing a gradual decline down the lane.
The volume of consumption of Beef and Chicken have always been predominant, with a steep increase of chicken consumption from 149 grams in 1979 to nearly 250 grams by 2004. There is a drastic fall in the consumption of Beef from 210 grams in 1979 to 110 grams by 2004.
The lamb and fish categories have not trended much, with a leveled off consumption of fish by 2004 and a plummet in lamb consumption by 2004.
