The charts illustrate distribution of ages in Spain and Oman in 2005 compared with the distribution in both countries a half of century later. It is clear that both countries shows different trend of older and younger people over the period of 50 years.
In Oman, percentage of the younger people (0-14 years old) was exactly the same as that of older people (60+ years old) in 2005. 50 years later, number of mortality is predicted to outweigh number of people born there. Older people's percentage would be 57%, while the percentage of younger people would fall to 37%. Compared to other ages group, middle age group (15-59 years old) was the smallest one, such as only 4% in 2005. It is projected to have a slight grow in 2055 becoming 6%.
Spain shows different ration in the age group compared to Oman. In 2005, it was dominated with older people, such as 62%, while middle age was the second biggest age group there (24%). 5 decades later, the ratio of middle group would increase dramatically becoming 42%, but still second biggest compared to the others. It is because older people's ratio would still be the highest, even showing quite significant decrease, such as 46%. Younger age group does not show a lot difference, from 14% in 2005 to 12% in 2055.
