The three diagrams below show the development of and plans for the coastal zone of Brightsea

These three diagrams show the development of Brighton coastal area in 1950, now, and also the blueprint of future design of it. In general, it can be seen from the diagrams that the number of building which is built in the coastal area always increase.

In 1950, the area merely covered by Jetty, Fisherman's cottage, Light house, and Light house keeper's house. Today, wecan see that cottages are modified into cafe, and Lighthouse Keeper's house is replaced by Hotel. Shop is also built on the second turn of new road. Ferry wharf is also created on the south of Jetty.

Based on planned development, Brightsea will be changed into bigger city. It is planned that Cafe will be turned into Restaurants and Apartements. Shop will be destroyed, and a Supermarket will be built on it. Hotel will be extended and Sailing club will be constructed in the south of Hotel. To be able to welcome bigger ships, new ferry wharf will be built on the south of old ferry wharf including a Telecommunication arena on it.

Interestingly, the Light house building has never renovated and still remained since 1950 until the future plan of Brightsea. Overall, it can be concluded thatBrighton focuses its development in harbour and public services building.
