The given line graph details the number of tourists(in millions) who visited the Caribbean island further classified based on the stay over a period of 7 years from 2010 to 2017.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that over the period as a whole, the visitors increased significantly. Although staying on the island was more popular in the earlier years, ships gained value by the end of the period.
According to the illustration, in 2010, the total number of visitors stood at 1 million. With a steady rise, the number shot up by 0.5 million in 2012. Thereafter, a continuous upward trend nearly doubled the value before stagnating at 2.8 million until 2016. By the period end, a dramatic spike soared the number to a peak value of 3.5 million.
Turning to the stay, more visitors(up by 0.4million) chose an island stay compared to 0.3 million on board visitors. Furthermore, whilst staying on the cruise grew by 0.2 million in 2011, it remained the same for the island. From here, both witnessed a significant surge prior to attaining the same value. However, in the end, ship stay took over the other(1.5million) by 0.5 million.
