The bar-graph indicates the information about the percentage of families living in their own house and the percentage of families living in a rented house, in England and Wales during the years from 1918-2011.

Overall, it was observed from the diagram that there is an increase in the percentage of families living in their own house and there is a drop-in number of families that live in rented accommodation. The number of families residing in rented accommodation was highest in 1918 which accounts for just less than 80%. during the same year, the percentage of households occupying in their own house was the least(about 20%).

The number of families residing in their own house increased from the year 1918 (around 20%) to its maximum value in the year 2001 ( about 70%) and then slightly decreased to just above 60%.

The portion of households living in rented house decreased from the year 1918(about 75%) to its minimum value of just above 30% in the yeat 2001. After this drop, there was a slight increase in the percentage in the year 2011(about 35%).
