The charts below show the number of Japanese tourists travelling abroad between 1985 and 1995 and Australia’s share of the Japanese tourist market.

The Charts below illustrate the number of people visiting abroad and percentage among them who are choosing Australia as their destination of decade form 1985 to 1995.
The first graph shows the smooth increment over the period of 1985 to 1990, apart from 1991 where it shows minor decrement from 11 million to 10.5 million .Similarly in the second graph the percentage of tourists visiting Australia also increasing from 2 to 4.5 but it experience a dramatic fall in 1989 and 1993 respectively.
The figure of Japanese travelling foreign countries stood around 5 million and its gradually increased to 11 million in 1990 while facing a little fall in 1991 and then continuing to increase and its peak at 15 million in 1995.
The Japanese preferring Australia in 1985 were 2% which steadily increased to 6% in 1993 but showed a declined which is around 0.4% in 1991 and .2% in 1993 respectively. Overall the trend of this graph is quite different from previous graph.
