The diagram illustrates how bricks for the building industry were manufactured. Overall, there are 9 steps of manufacturing the brick and various equipment was used in the making progress.
The first stage of making bricks is to collecting clay, the main ingredient of the brick, with a digger. After having collected the ingredient, it will be put through a metal grid to separate the rock and the clay is dropped on a roller. Follow the separation process, the clay will be mix with sand and water, after that there will be two alternative methods for shaping the brick. The first option is to cut the mixture of clay, sand, and water with the wire cutter or pouring the mixture into the mold. After the brick has been shaped, it will now be dry-up in a drying oven, for 24 hours up to 48 hours, then it will be transferred to the kiln. Inside the kiln, the brick will first be baked at a moderate temperature, from 200 degrees Celcius, up to 980 degrees Celcius. After that, the brick is baked in the high temperature, from 890 degrees Celcius, up to 1300 degrees Celcius. When the kilning process is done, the brick will be stored in the cooling chamber for 48 hours to 72 hours. After the brick is cool down, it will be packaged and come to the final step, is to deliver them.
