Some people think that children’s free time must include educational activities otherwise they will waste their time.
What is your opinion?

Nowadays, more and more people have realized the true importance and potential of education, and thus, it has become a significant part in the life of most people. Most of us think about education as a life-long process that we would continuously participate in throughout the course of our life, and therefore, we have a fairly relax and laid-back view toward education. However, some people believe that education is the utmost important duty not of them but of their children. And that has led to the belief that children must always be participate in educational activities, otherwise they will waste their time. Personally, I strongly disagree with this opinion for a few reasons.
First of all, I firmly believe that education is and will always be a life-long process. There is no point in forcing children into spending all or most of their time studying, doing so might increase their performance in school, but getting higher grades might only mean that they are good at memorizing and does not fully reflect their understanding of the subject matter. Furthermore, pressuring children into studying more for higher grades might do more harm than good since nobody likes being forced into doing things, children would be more likely to cheat in exams and tests. And lastly, I believe that no one has the right to rob children of their childhood, not even their parents. And I think we should let them live through their childhood to the fullest.
In short, I don’t think children should spend all of their time studying, because I believe that that would ended up doing more harm than good.
