The pie charts indicate the percentage of British pupils who were able to speak another language alongside English at one university in 2000 and 2010.
Overall, it is clear that except German which remains unchanged, all of the other languages experienced some changes Frech and Spanish, became less popular in comparison with others.
Looking at the changes in more detail, we can see that students who did not speak any other languages except English increased in 2010, by 5%, from 30 to 35%. This trend is followed by two other categories, where another language and two other different languages( except English, German, and Spanish) gained five percent more speakers reached 20% and 15% in 2010 while these percentages were 15% and 10% in 2000 respectively.

Students who spoke German besides English have remained the same as were in 2000, about 10 percent of all students in the university spoke German for two years.
