Write a letter to a friend. In your letter,
• apologize for damaging the product
• explain what happened
• say how are you going to fix the issue

Dear Jay,

How are you? Hope you are fine. I am writing to apologize for spoiling your camera. Unfortunately, I am afraid to say that the camera which I have borrowed from you has damaged.

Let me explain the situation in detail. As you are aware that I have borrowed your camera for my holiday trip to Goa. I am really glad that I took right thing from right person and I enjoyed capturing memories with the help of your camera. Today, when I was coming to your house to return this camera, I had a little argument with a motor cyclist and in that course he pushed me to the ground. I lost my balance and I was unable to handle your camera due to which there are some slight cracks in optic lens of the camera.

I am extremely sorry to create hassle for you. But you don’t need to worry as I will ensure that I will get it repaired from well renowned repairing shop so that the damaged glass is replaced with original one. Once it is repaired I will hand over your camera in proper condition.

I hope you will forgive me and accept my apologies. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Best Regards,
Rakesh Soni
