You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You took your family to a nearby restaurant. You were disappointed with the meal and wish to complain to the manager. Write a letter to the manager of the restaurant.
In the letter:
* explain why you were at the restaurant
* describe the problems
* write about the action you want the manager to take
You do NOT need to write your own address.
Begin your letter as: Dear Sir or Madam,
You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express my disappointment with your services. I am a regular customer and have been very annoyed with my recent experience at your restaurant, The Italian House, in South Mumbai.
I was at the restaurant to celebrate my first wedding anniversary with my husband. We have been regular customers and thoroughly enjoy your Italian cuisine. The branch at South Mumbai is where he proposed to me, and hence I picked this place once again to make it a memorable experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster.
Firstly, on our arrival, the restaurant looked fairly busy and there was no one to assist us. Despite a prior reservation for a candlelit dinner at the rooftop, and a special request for a cake, nothing was arranged. Secondly, after much struggle, we were asked to accommodate ourselves at the indoor section of the restaurant which was noisy and overcrowded.
Moreover, the loud chatter made it extremely difficult to even converse with each other. The staff seemed laid back and uninterested to serve us. In addition, our favorite dish, 'Penne Arabiata' was unavailable. Overall it was a traumatic evening.
I recommend you to take the necessary measure to ensure satisfaction to your customers. I suggest you employ more staff members so that the restaurant is well-managed. I expect you to give me a discounted voucher for my next visit, to redeem yourself for the inconvenience caused to us. I hope you will do the needful and live up to your dinners true reputation.
Hoping for a quick and favorable response.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Nadar
