Dear Mr. Brown,
I am writing this letter to request an annual leave for 14 days starting next Sunday 25th of April.
The reason for my request is that my wife will perform an operation in her left leg as a result of a dislocated bone. As she was sweeping the floor, she fell off the stairs and according to her doctor, she will require full time care. In addition, I have to take care of our 2 years old child as well as she will not be able to do so.
Regarding the amount of time I need for this annual leave, please be advised that although, as per the doctor, it will take about 3 – 4 weeks for my wife to recover and to be able to move and walk normally again, she can start walking and moving around again after 2 weeks. And that is why I believe that 14 days off work will be suitable for me.
As for the daily business operations, kindly be informed that while I am away, Adham will be performing my duties. In the same time, and as for the emails, I will be handling it myself remotely from home. Despite the fact that I will be extremely busy taking care of my wife and son, I am always reachable via phone or email in case of any emergency.
