American literature of the early 20th century saw the rise of a number of influential authors writing in a new style Ernest Hemingway F Scott Fitzgerald E E Cummings and Ezra Pound among many others left an undeniably deep impact on how we write

While the reading passage emphasizes the idea that influential American literature authors such as Hemingway are considered as a influencer to today's literature, the lecturer refutes that the writing style like Stein did is hardly to say great as a amazing historical style.

According to the text, the author states that Stein used Cubism style, which is incompatible to literature and poetry, so she made readers confused. However, the professor clearly says that it does not make any sence to use words to give images for readers. Thus, it would not need to express meaning by the words.

In the reading passage, the relationship with other authors. Through the point made by the author is not true because the professor thinks that we could find Stein's writing style in Hemingway's works. There has been obvious social connection between them thus the Stein contribute to the literature history.

Lastly, Stein did not use punction often hence her sentences were really long at the end. This was thought as a creation of complexity among readers but the speaker explains that its unique. According to the professor, Stein avoided punction on purpose to led readers understand her works not because she prefers not having them.
