Overweight in many countries is a common problem and citizens’ health and fitness level is also decreasing. What are the causes of this problem and what could be done to tackle this problem?

In today's era, overweight has become a major hindrance in the growth of an individual in various forms. Furthermore, health and weight consider as an interrelated aspect. However, many people are now becoming victim of overweight which result in the deterioration of their health. Therefore, I am going to highlight the causes and solutions of this grave issue.

To begin with, healthy person can merely contribute in the development of society, but due to reckless attitude of people, they are confronting many predicaments related to overweight which is attributed to number of causes. Firstly, people now prefer to have sedentary lifestyle due to evolution of technology as a result of which no physical efforts from side of people are giving to do any work because technology has made every work a cakewalk with nominal human efforts for them. Secondly, people have comprehensively indulged themselves in the work, irrespective of thinking about their health due to hectic lifestyle, which in turn result their inclination towards junk food, which deems a prime cause. Thirdly, an availability of non-nutritious food at an economical price in comparison to organic food, thus deterioration of health is prevalent.

However, every situation comes with bright and dark side, which is similar in this case. thus, better initiatives at right time can make people to cope with this ramification conveniently. Firstly, government should levy heavy taxes on non-nutritious outlets, which make available such foods at every place. Secondly, there should be some initiatives from government side as well as by giants to aware people about the negative impacts of eating junk foods which ultimately leads to overweight. Thirdly, promotion of public transport so that people could move out of their motionless zone and put some physical efforts towards their health. For instance, country like India, where more than 65 percent population is youth, thus if government will use such youth power then India can surely be developed in short span, however most of the youngsters are facing problem of overweight, which is regressive for such country.

To conclude, fruitful outcome can only be possible, when people's mentality will be changed and when they will understand that everything is associated with health whether it is money, happiness and so on. As quote goes, "Health is wealth".
