TPO-02 - Integrated Writing Task In many organizations, perhaps the best way to approach certain new projects is to assemble a group of people into a team. Having a team of people attack a project offers several advantages.

The reading and the lecture both discuss the consequences of teamwork but, contrast each other. The reading that teamwork increases the productivity of individuals and follows creative solutions, whereas, the lecture refutes the ideas of teamwork on the reading and thinks that teamwork is less practical.

First of all, the reading states that the advantage of teamwork is a wider range of knowledge, skills, expertise brought into the situation. But, the profession argues that in the team, not everyone works the same, but all the members are appreciated for the results. So, Individuals who worked hard do not get a proper appreciation or credit.

Secondly, the reading states that teamwork helps to come up with creative solutions for problems and each and everyone is responsible for each right of wrong decisions. But, the professor's response to this matter was not positive as he thinks that it took time to make a decision and sometimes, one part of members influence others.

Finally, the reading states that individual team members have better opportunities to contribute to the team as a team's overall results are likely to have a greater impact than would have been accomplished by an individual. But, the lecturer disagrees with the reading as he believes that some member of the team intentionally influences others, ignoring a portion of team members and as a result, the overall result fails to provide expected output.

In conclusion, although the reading and the lecture are both about the effects of teamwork, the three main points made in the reading are effectively challenged by the lecturer.
