In the passage, three solutions that responsible businesses can us to prevent injuries to birds are presented. In contrast, the professor holds opposing points of view.

First of all, it is thought to truth that one-way glass can effectively prevents birds from injuries. Notwithstanding, the professor puts forth that one-way glass indeed reflects like mirror. Birds cannot understand the reflection of mirror. As a result, when they see one-way window, they may be confusing whether there are ways to go or not.

Secondly, colorful designs are considered to be one of the solutions because birds will know the barrier when they see colorful designs. Nevertheless, the professor holds a contradictory view that colorful designs are more likely to be thought to be open-holes. In this case, birds will just try to fly right through them. Plus, colorful designs require large parts of the space on windows which will definitely make the inside place dark.

Thirdly, it is convinced that artificial magnetic field will help birds since birds use magnetic field to migrate. Whereas, the professor indicates that birds only use the magnetic fields to migrate when they are travelling in long distance. When they are travelling in short distance like city to city, they use their eyes. Consequently, artificial magnetic fields will not help them.
