The article states arguments about global temperature decrease and provides three ideas to support. However the professor explains that the theory which the passage states is out of date and scientists have new information now and refutes each of author's reason.
First, the reading claims that cold water of melted glaciers into the Gulf Stream decrease global temperature. The professor refutes this point by saying Gulf Stream only affect in America and Europe and it cannot explain southern hemisphere areas colder. He states that little ice age affect areas in southern hemisphere such as Neuseeland and South Africa which are not nearby Gulf Stream.
Second, the reading posits that dark clouds which are made of dust and sulfur gas of volcanoes eruption prevented sunlight to reach the Earth's surface and cause Earth colder. However the professor says that the dusty cloud were not strong enough to cold the temperature according to the professor there the volcanic eruption dramatically change the temperature while permanent changing happen by larger volcanic.
Third, the article says that forest trees on farm land by removing CO2 cause Earth cooler. The professor oppose this point by explaining that human population soon cut the forest and there was not enough time for this effect to work he states that growing trees could decrease temperature dramatically not for long term.
