Students at universities often have a choice of places to live. They may choose to live in university dormitories, or they may choose to live in apartments in the community. Where would you prefer to live? Give reasons for your preference.

Nowadays, a lot of student attend in universities. A large portion of them, in search for a proper university, have to leave their hometowns and move to another city. As a result, they need a place to live in the new city. Given that, the issue of wether it is better to live in university dormitories or community apartments has engendered a lot of debates among students and their parents. There is not a general answer to this question; choosing the place that suits a student most depends on the students' personality. However, in my opinion, it is generally better to live in university dormitories. In the follwing paragraphs, two persuasive arguments are presented to support this idea disscussing it from time efficiency and of quality of life perspectives.

The most important aspects which deserves to be outlined is that living in dormitories are very time efficient. University dormitories are usually located near universities and faculty buildings where the classes are held. Therefore, students have to spend fewer time to get to classes. For instance, if they live in off-campus apartments, they have to get up much earlier in camparison to the ones who prefered to live in dormitories. Moreover, this shorter distance allowes students to go back to dormitories for a nap or studyin between classes. For instance, when a student living outside campus has two classes with 2-hour time space between them, he has to stay at the campus and his time will be wasted because he often ends up talking with other students instead of doing a useful task. On the other hand, if he lived in campus, he could go to the dorm room and study for the next class.

Aside from the point mentioned about time efficiency , one cannot overlook the fact that university dormitories are better places to live because they are designed for a university student living. Students, in addition to classes and professors, need other facilities for a proper living. For instance, they need sport facilities, dry cleanings and etc.. Dormitories are usually desinged in a way that these kinds of necessary facilities are located close to the dorm rooms.

In a word, owing to the previous causes and elucidations about dormitory characteristics, it appears reasonable to draw the conclusion that dormitories are rather better places to live because not only are they closer to the faculty buildings, but also they provide essential facilities of living for the students.
