Hi Alan,
I am glad that you have decided to study in university for your further studies. There are few things I like you to know before you step into university premise.
Firstly, in university you will ask to do presentations, attending field trips and complete the thesis. Make sure you outperform everyone in order to get the good grades. Secondly, reputed companies prefer those who secured university degrees rather than merely college education. Lastly, it will broaden your intellectual dimension that would allow you to exercise good judgments in your challenging situations.
Studying away from home will give you a sense of survival techniques. Like many other students who bear their own expenses you will also learn to live in this tough era. This struggling period will give you strength profusely to defend yourself for now and in future.
Many courses are now outlined by the universities which provide great deal of benefits. However, in my point of view, environment science is preferable because this will enable you to understand the reasons and effects of greenhouse gases which have been a global concern and the possible outcomes to mitigate them.
I hope my advice will help you to accelerate your education and would give you an edge in the career growth. Wish you the best.
