Human being is social animal, we all live in a society together with different races,colour,cast and have different languages as well. When student start his education there are different kinds of choices in education out there, there is always confusion regarding whcich one to follow .The prompt says that a nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter the college, I strongly agree with the statement made.
When one start his childhood,he always impacted by the local language and the society around him/her .So when one wants to study the curriculum which he takes really matter's in the overall growth of the mind and knowledge. At the school level, student's won't be that mature enough to choose what they are interested in, and what to pursue in furture. Atleast to make this decision first they have to understand the basics of all the fields.When a counrty make a same national curriculum for all the student,it will help in understanding the different field's and how our society works.
Same national curriculum in the school level won't make any discrimination regarding the knowledge the students are getting.It is really important to study the local languages and the history of the nation one born in.When the same national curriculum is implemented at the school level , one can say that the curruculum will have the history about the country, how it is being evolved from the thousands of years, what are greatest wars they have faced and how it has been impacted to the current situation in country. When these basic and common information/knowledge is provided to the school students , they become well aware of the subjects, once they complete the school level education and become aware what they studied in the curriculum.
When a curriculum is designed, one will make sure that it include all the information covering various subjects. Be it the history of it's own country and how it evolved and how it is different from other country. what are the inventions are made around the world.So it is really important to make sure that these basic education are provided to the students at the college level it self. in doing so the same national curriculum plays an important role.Latter stage in the education they can choose curriculum they want.
In my opinion same national curriculum untill college is very much required for the students of the country to gain knowledge and contribute
