In today’s morden age new exciting technologies replacing traditional ones. Education plays a vital role in everyone's life. Then how will it be left behind in race? Books are traditional source of learning whereas TV has come recently few decades ago. The author says that there is little need for books today because one can learn plethora of things from newly invented way of learning through television. But Books are a better tool of learning because of its all time availability on all types of topics including all minute details and the more important affordability.

Television provides visual representation which helps to understand concept in details. But it has limited choice. Whereas books are available on any theme of reader's choice. Books are a better tool to build imagination. For an example, the Discovery channel shows program based on White bear's way of life, their habitat for an hour whereas. Thus television channel has limited choice whereas plenty of books will be available white bear including all minor details about him.

Television cannot be afforded by common man to study. Moreover it has signal, connectivity related issues. But books are easily available in bookstall, libraries.Books provides flexibility to reader to choose the book but in case of Television it’s up to broadcasting companies what to offer on particular channel.

In addition to offering more information to reader, books also help to improve vocabulary. In books, reader sees unfamiliar word; he will try to decipher its meaning.TV viewer’s overlooks many details usually unfamiliar words in conversion get unnoticed.

Thus television can be good alternative to learning but it will never replace books. Books will always be required because of its availability, affordability, offering tremendous information on plenty of topics including all minute details, helping to build imagination, improvising vocabulary and many other everlasting benefits.
